How it works
- 1You open Send and drop the file; a six-digit code appears.
- 2The other person opens Receive and types the code. Their browser and yours connect directly.
- 3The file crosses that connection, in pieces, and lands in their downloads. When you both close the page, nothing remains anywhere.
Not at the same time?
Lock the file with a passphrase. It becomes a .orihako file you can mail or put on a stick; the other person opens it here with the passphrase, on their own computer.
What travels: the code, and the few lines two browsers exchange to find each other (your public address, through a STUN server). Not the file, not its name.
